Prosecutors declared new suspicion to Ihor Kolomoiskyi

Ukrainian businessman Ihor Kolomoiskyi was informed of another suspicion – the organization of a contract killing.
According to the investigation, the businessman, for the purpose of personal revenge, ordered the murder of the director of one of the legal companies for failure to comply with the requirements to annul and invalidate the decisions of the general meeting of shareholders of the open joint-stock company.
The prosecutor’s office notes that for this he involved gang members who specialize in committing such crimes.
The members of the gang attacked the director, hit him and stabbed. According to the investigation, the director was not killed for reasons that did not depend on the will of the gang members.
The suspected businessman is in custody. Prosecutors and investigators carry out urgent investigative and procedural actions aimed at exposing all persons involved in the commission of the crime.
On September 2, 2023, the Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Bureau of Economic Security, notified Ihor Kolomoiskyi of suspicion under two criminal articles.
According to the law enforcement, during 2013-2020, Kolomoiskyi legalized more than half a billion hryvnias by withdrawing funds abroad. For this, he used controlled by him banks.
