Ukrainians may have up to 5 million unregistered firearms – interior ministry

There could be between 2 to 5 million units of undeclared firearms in the possession of Ukrainians, according to Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapyatyi.  Drapyatyi admitted officials have a vague idea about the number of guns owned by Ukrainians.

“It’s impossible to calculate the exact number, said the deputy minister.  He believes the country needs new legislation on gun registration.
