Ukrainian MP accuses colleague of leaking classified national security information

Ukrainian MP Fedir Venislavsky accused his fellow lawmaker Maryana Bezuhla of ‘disclosure of classified information’ regarding national security discussed during a parliamentary committee session.

He said he was planning to file a complaint with the State Bureau of Investigations (DBR) over the leaked information, arguing that he cannot just watch  when laws governing parliamentary conduct are violated.

“In my view, my colleague [Bezuhla] leaked classified information that was exclusively revealed to MPs during the parliamentary committee session,” Venislavsky emphasized.

Venislavsky believes such actions constitute a criminal offense and could potentially lead to a criminal investigation.

It is worth noting that Bezuhla took to social media on Thursday, warning that she could become a target of Venislavsky’s accusations. The embittered MP had strong words for the parliamentary defense committee she sits on, arguing that they are targeting her over her criticism of the Ukrainian army and Defense Minstry leadership.
