War-caused environmental losses in Kharkiv region make UAH 450 billion, – government

The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Ruslan Strilets, reported that the damage to the environment of Kharkiv region caused by constant Russian strikes amounts to almost 450 billion hryvnias.

‘As of today, according to the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine, the damage to the environment of Kharkiv region due to constant Russian shelling is almost 450 billion hryvnias,’ the minister said.

Ruslan Strilets added that reliable data on the condition of the environment is available 24/7 on the website of the ministry ‘EcoThreat’.

It contains all important environmental information, from water and air pollution indicators to air alerts, chemical hazards and instructions for environmental emergencies.
