Zelensky discussed fortifications with military leadership

On March 11, president Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the military and political leadership of the country.

They discussed the situation on the battlefield and providing the Armed Forces with ammunition, and the construction of new defensive lines.

The military informed about the situation in Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marianka, and in the south.

Defense minister Rustem Umerov reported regarding the supply of the army with needed resources.

President Zelensky also stressed that the construction of fortifications is an important and urgent task now.

‘Another important topic is fortifications. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal’s report on the pace of construction of new defense lines. Three lines of fortifications 2,000 kilometers long is a massive task, but the pace is good now. I count on timely completion,’ the president stated.
