Ukraine and the USA are strengthening cooperation in the field of internal audit reforms and control over material and technical assistance.
Deputy Minister of Defense Yurii Dzhyhyr met with the representatives of the US Embassy led by the second secretary of the political department of the US Embassy in Ukraine Camilo Caballero.
The parties discussed reforming of the internal audit system, taking into account the best practices and experience of American partners, as well as the prospects of creating an audit committee in the system of the Ministry of Defense.
They also discussed monitoring of the use of weapons and equipment provided by American partners, in particular, the procedures of joint inspections in places where weapons are stored.
‘We are very grateful to our partners for all the equipment and weapons with which our military are defending Ukraine. Our allies must be sure that these weapons are used in a way agreed with partners,’ Ukraine’s deputy minister stated.
