Restoration of Dnipro hydro power plant in Zaporizhzhia may take years

Director General of Ukrhydroenergo Ihor Syrota stated that it will take years to restore the capacity of the Dnipro HPP in Zaporizhzhia to the condition before the missile strike.
‘Today, we do not know how long it will take to restore, but we already understand: it will take years to restore the Dnipro HPS to the condition before the missile strike. The damage is great,’ Syrota said.
He detailed that at least 6 Russian missiles hit the power plant causing severe damage. The machine hall of the plant is still blocked by the rubble.
The CEO also added that the dam was not damaged and there is no threat of its collapse.
The missile attack on the Dnipro HPP in Zaporizhzhia took place on March 22.
Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest Group has completed the construction of an upgraded underground NATO Role 2 hospital in one of the hottest sectors of the frontline.
