17-year-old Ukrainian attacked in Poland, loses a finger

A violent altercation in Krakow, Poland, has left a 17-year-old Ukrainian boy severely injured. The teenager was brutally beaten, and one of his fingers was severed with a machete.
The incident took place at the swimming pools in Zakrzówek Park on Monday when a group of four men confronted the Ukrainian teenager who was there with a company of six friends. His mother claims the attackers used a machete and tear gas.
“They injured him, cut off his finger, fractured his skull, and threw him into the water. The boy is in the hospital in serious condition,” says Gazeta Wyborcza citing the youth’s mother.
According to reports, police has identified and detained the suspects involved in the attack – one of the assailants is 15 years old but will be tried as an adult after the police raid found a machete at his home.
