The Kyiv hydro power plant has not sustained critical damage following the recent attack by Russian forces, according to Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration. The city officials confirmed that the plant remains “largely intact”.

He said that repair teams are assessing the damage and working to resume electricity services for all consumers “as quick as possible”.

Located in Vyshhorod, the Kyiv suburbs, the hydro power plant was among the key targets of the Russian missile attack on Monday. Officials failed to reveal the extent of damage but assured there is no immediate threat of a dam breach.
