A child among 2 dead after Russian attack strikes Zaporizhzhia

Russian troops launched an attack on Zaporizhzhia late on the night of September 2, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuries to two others.

The assault struck the city around 11:00 pm taking the lives of an 8-year-old boy and a 38-year-old woman. A 12-year-old girl and a 43-year-old man suffered injuries, with the girl currently in intensive care.

Zaporizhzhia governor Ivan Fedorov said that  the attack destroyed a building while the blast wave and shrapnel damaged nearby apartment buildings.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy forces attacked 11 communities in Zaporizhzhia region 313 times using missiles, drones, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and artillery.

Five armored vehicles “Kozak” have received a new mission – thanks to the support of Metinvest, they have been upgraded to full-fledged command and staff vehicles. These upgraded vehicles are now operating on the front line.
