Missile attack on Kyiv: at least 2 civilians killed

President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that at least 2 civilians in Kyiv and 1 in Mykolaiv were killed during the Wednesday morning massive Russian missile attack.
‘In Kyiv, more than ten people were injured, as of now, two deaths are confirmed. There may be people under the rubble,’ the president wrote.
Zelensky thanked all medical and emergency employees who are working to save people and eliminate the consequences of the strikes.
‘My condolences to all those who have lost family members and friends,’ the president said.
As reported by the internal ministry, the enemy strikes targeted 5 regions of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian air defense managed to intercept 29 missiles of different types and 15 unmanned aerial vehicles.
On October 6, the Administrative Cassation Court within the Supreme Court of Ukraine continued hearing case No. 990/80/25, in which the fifth President and leader of the party “European Solidarity”, Petro Poroshenko, seeks to have Presidential Decree No. 81/2025 from February 12, 2025 — enacting sanctions by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) — declared illegal and annulled. The plaintiff claims the document was falsified and that the sanctions are a tool of political persecution of the opposition, contrary to international norms.
