Missile attack on Odesa: 14 people killed, 46 wounded

At about 11 am Friday, Russian troops hit the city of Odesa with a missile strike. Four explosions were heard in the city.
As of now, it is known about 14 killed during the attack. Among them, there are civilian residents, medical and emergency employees.
At least 46 were wounded. 7 of them are emergency service workers. They were hit by the second missile as they started a rescue operation on the site of the first explosion.
The governor said that all emergency services continue the search and rescue operation. The wounded are getting all needed medical assistance.
Saturday is announced a day of mourning in the region.
On October 6, the Administrative Cassation Court within the Supreme Court of Ukraine continued hearing case No. 990/80/25, in which the fifth President and leader of the party “European Solidarity”, Petro Poroshenko, seeks to have Presidential Decree No. 81/2025 from February 12, 2025 — enacting sanctions by the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) — declared illegal and annulled. The plaintiff claims the document was falsified and that the sanctions are a tool of political persecution of the opposition, contrary to international norms. Government representatives deny the allegations and insist their actions were lawful. Journalists of Bukvy were present at the hearing.
