The Security Service and Donetsk Prosecutor office began a pre-trial investigation into the shootings of unarmed Ukrainian prisoners of war in Avdiivka and Vesele village.

‘A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the facts of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder,’ the statement says.

On February 18, one of the Telegram channels published a message about the shooting of six Ukrainian prisoners of war in Avdiivka. The military were seriously wounded and were waiting for evacuation.

In addition, a video recording with a fragment of the murder of two more soldiers near the village of Vesele appeared on the Internet.

The recording from the drone camera shows how a representative of the Russian Armed Forces deliberately kills two Ukrainian prisoners of war.
