Zelensky signed the law on fines for offensive messages of a sexual nature

On June 17, president Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law that establishes fines for offensive messages of a sexual nature using electronic communications.
On May 22, 2024, the Verkhovna Rada adopted Law No. 8329 on amendments to the code of administrative offenses in connection with the ratification of the Istanbul Convention.
The signed law provides punishment for sexual harassment, offensive, humiliating acts of a sexual nature, expressed verbally or non-verbally using electronic communications.
Violators will face a fine or correctional or community service.
