The head of the SBU, Vasyl Maliuk, commented on the scandal surrounding the surveillance of Bihus.Info journalists.

In particular, Vasyl Maliuk noted the Security Service of Ukraine is working to bring Ukraine closer to victory in the war with the Russian aggressors.

At the same time, he criticized the actions of individual employees of the Department for the Protection of National Statehood.

‘Unfortunately, the implementation of measures to combat organized drug crime led not only to receiving information about the involvement of one of the newsroom operators in the distribution of narcotic substances, but also to the public distribution of video materials,’ Maliuk stated.

He added that such actions are unacceptable, and the SBU leadership has already been reacted to the situation with personnel decisions.

Vasyl Maliuk emphasized that those who violate the law should be punished.

At the same time, he added that the actions of individual employees should not cast a shadow over the entire Security Service.

Earlier, a video appeared on the Internet. It was recorded by unknown people during the Bihus.Info corporate party. Some of the operators brought cannabis and other narcotic substances to the party.
