51 thousand people are missing due to the war, – National Police

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the police have received 51 thousand reports about missing people.

According to Maksym Tsutskiridze, the deputy head of the police, each case is being investigated.

Tsutskiridze noted that the National Police have been searching for missing persons since the beginning of the war.

The missing military and civilian investigations vary but cover the full range of activities. First, the police open criminal proceedings under the article ‘missing person’. The task force then takes steps to search and investigate to establish the whereabouts of the missing persons.
