The former president of Ukraine and leader of the ‘European Solidarity’ party Petro Poroshenko announced that the faction will initiate the creation of a parliamentary commission on the construction of fortifications.

Poroshenko also noted that he diverted part of the funds for the Armed Forces to the purchase of earthmoving machines, excavators and bulldozers, as the situation with defense structures along the front line is threatening.

‘Where did our troops go from Avdiivka after heavy battles? Was a powerful line of fortifications built in several tiers in 5-10-15 kilometers? No,’ the politician stated.

Poroshenko emphasized that the parliament should finally receive from the government, in accordance with the Constitution, the report on financing, organization and provision of construction.

He urged to immediately resolve the issue of the creation of a commission and the effective use of the purchased equipment.
