During his speech at the Congress of the European People’s Party in Bucharest, the former president of Ukraine and leader of the ‘European Solidarity’ party Petro Poroshenko called on Western partners to give Ukraine all the weapons it needs to win the war.
‘A fundamental priority for Europe is a stable security situation thanks to our joint victory. There is no separate victory for Ukraine, no separate victory for any member state of the European Union. That is one victory. There is no other way,’ he said.
He added that Ukraine and its allies must show Putin that they do not trust him and are not afraid of him, and that Ukraine will definitely win.
Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine needs support as long as it takes for the victory.
The former president explained that Ukraine needs munitions, modern fighter jets, and long-range missiles.
Poroshenko also emphasized the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia.
