Ukraine received $118 million from the Japanese government. The funds were provided within the World Bank projects HEAL Ukraine HOPE.

These funds are aimed at expanding the range of medical services and increasing their accessibility, as well as at restoring the housing infrastructure of Ukraine, in particular, to overcome the consequences of Russia’s armed aggression.

It is noted that $70 million of this amount received within the framework of the HEAL Ukraine project is intended to support the state budget, in particular, to reimburse the costs of medical guarantees.

The remaining $48.2 million allocated under the HOPE project will go to compensatory payments to homeowners for small and medium-sized repairs in apartment blocks and private houses.
