Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant on the verge of blackout due to Russian strikes

The Ministry of Energy informed that on April 4 morning, as a result of the Russian shelling, the power transmission line to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant was damaged.
The 330 kV line, which is a backup power source for the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, was disabled.
The energy ministry notes that currently the plant receives the necessary electricity only through one 750 kV line, which is extremely dangerous and puts the plant on the verge of blackout.
‘In the event that the second line is damaged and disabled, the Zaporizhzhia NPP will again be powered by diesel generators, the failure of which will threaten an emergency situation, which is a danger to the whole world,’ the statement says.
During the Russian occupation, there have already been eight complete blackouts and one partial blackout at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
