Ukraine and Norway will sign a security agreement ‘at the nearest opportunity’.The parties noted the successful completion of negotiations on this issue.

On April 15, President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Espen Barth Eide.

Zelensky informed about the current security situation and expressed gratitude to Norway for its significant contribution to strengthening the defense capabilities of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the sides noted the successful completion of bilateral negotiations on the conclusion of an agreement on security guarantees. It was agreed that the leaders of the two countries will sign the document document at the nearest opportunity.

Earlier, Espen Barth Eide stated Norway will provide a significant number of F-16 fighter jets equipped with the latest weapons.
