Ukrainian developers offer alternative to messengers

Ukrainian volunteers, who created an application for checking privacy in the Telegram messenger, offered to develop a secure communication service in ‘Diia’ app.

As analyst Bohdan Solomykin noted, no application or messenger can be 100% safe.

In particular, in the conditions of war, the most questions arise about Telegram, because everything that gets on the Internet can appear in public access on the network. Russia actively uses this.

The NGO conducted an experimental study on where the information deleted by Telegram users ends up.

‘For example, a user sent another person their passport data, and then decided to delete this information. Most platforms today have the option of instant deletion. However, our research showed that such information is stored in Telegram for several hours after deletion. We do not know where it goes. The very fact of such a delay leads us to believe that telegram is dangerous for data transmission,’ the expert said.

The developers proposed to create a Ukrainian alternative to Telegram and other social networks and messengers. It can be based on the ‘Diia’ app, which proved its efficiency.
