EU adopts Ukraine Facility program

The European Union has approved the plan for the Ukraine Facility program within which Ukraine will receive EUR 1.89 billion.
On May 14, the EU Council approved the plan for the Ukraine Facility.
The implementation decision paves the way for signing relevant documents on financing within the program, as well as further implementation of the Ukraine Facility in 2024-2027.
The approval of the plan will also allow the European Commission to provide Ukraine with up to 1.89 billion euros of unconditional financing.This sum is expected after the signing of the Framework Agreement by Ukraine and its ratification by the Verkhovna Rada.
Ukraine already received 6 billion euros of financial support in March and April this year for the successful implementation of 5 indicators of the first quarter. In the second quarter, it is necessary to fulfill 9 indicators, which will allow to receive 4.110 billion euros in September 2024.
