Ukraine plans to restore energy facilities by winter, – Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that by winter the authorities intend to implement the quick and inexpensive restoration of all energy facilities that can be restored.

‘One of Putin’s main targets in Ukraine is energy. From the first years of his reign, he considers energy resources, energy generation and energy consumption as a weapon, a tool for influencing and conquering the nation. Europe has already faced this many times,’ Zelensky stated.

He emphasized that Russia has destroyed 9 GW of generation. At the same time, the peak energy consumption in Ukraine last winter was 18 GW.

He added that the restoration of energy facilities should be implemented in a shorter perspective, before winter comes.
