The former president of Ukraine and leader of the ‘European Solidarity’ party Petro Poroshenko reminded that seven years ago Ukrainians obtained visa-free access to the European countries.

In this context, the politician spoke about Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.

Poroshenko noted that Ukraine will be able to start accession negotiations with the EU on June 25, and for this, the politician emphasized, it is necessary to use all negotiating resources.

He added that his attitude to the future negotiations is cautiously optimistic.

‘The results of the elections to the European Parliament give me additional reasons for this optimism,’ Poroshenko said.

The former president added that he is also ready to join the negotiations regarding Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
