Denmark to invest in the Ukrainian production of weapons

The head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, Rustem Umerov, and the Minister of Defense of Denmark, Troels Lund Poulsen, signed the Memorandum on the purchase of weapons from Ukrainian manufacturers.

Within the framework of the 23rd meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine in the Ramstein format, Rustem Umyerov held meetings with the defense ministers of Denmark the Netherlands.

The result of the meeting was the signing of the Memorandum with Denmark regarding the purchase of weapons and equipment from Ukrainian manufacturers.

‘Denmark has become the first NATO country that will invest its funds in the production of weapons in the territory of Ukraine,’ Ukraine’s minister stated.

The Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kajsa Ollongren, signed a letter of intent, which initiates cooperation between Ukraine and the Netherlands to support the production of weapons.

Five armored vehicles “Kozak” have received a new mission – thanks to the support of Metinvest, they have been upgraded to full-fledged command and staff vehicles. These upgraded vehicles are now operating on the front line.

In just 1.5 months, Ukrainian specialists have created an innovative protective shell for the control modules of anti-aircraft missile systems (AMS) Patriot and Iris-T SLM. This development was another step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, aimed at protecting key elements of the air defense system from debris damage.
