Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin reported that in Donetsk region, the Russian troops, having received an order not to take soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as prisoner of wars, beheaded a Ukrainian soldier.

Kostin revealed new terrible evidence of the criminal policy of the Russian Federation.

‘We received information that the commanders of one of the units of the occupation forces of the Russian Federation in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region gave an order not to capture Ukrainian servicemen, but instead to kill them with inhuman cruelty – by beheading,’ the prosecutor stated.

During aerial reconnaissance at one of the combat positions in Donetsk region, the Ukrainian military discovered a damaged Ukrainian armored vehicle. On it, there was the severed head of a Ukrainian soldier.

‘This is a terrible barbarism that has no place in the 21st century. This is another proof that the war crimes committed by the aggressors are not isolated incidents, but a planned strategy of the Russian regime,’ the prosecutor statement concludes.
