The Poroshenko Foundation has announced its plans to restore all the medical quipment destroyed in a recent Russian attack on the “Ohmatdyt” children’s hospital in Kyiv. The Jul.8 missile attack caused extensive damage to one of the hospital’s wings, which had been built and equipped through the Foundation’s efforts. Former first lady Marina Poroshenko visited the hospital on Wednesday.

“We are standing next to the 11th building, the very one we began to restore and modernise 10 years ago, equipping it with modern tools and everything necessary to function in new conditions, allowing doctors to provide medical services at a completely different level,” said Marina Poroshenko.
She thanked the medical workers of “Ohmatdyt” for their bravery during the attack. “Many were injured. Eternal memory to Dr Svitlana Lukyanchuk, who tragically lost her life while returning to ensure that everyone was evacuated,” she said paying a tribute to the killed doctor.
