The sale of flavored cigarettes, rolling tobacco, e-cigarettes, and e-liquids, as well as cigarette packs with “improper’ labeling, is now officially banned in Ukraine. This comes a year after Ukraine’s parliament passed the law 1978-XI, on July 11, 2023 that granted a one-year grace period for the sale of remaining stock.
The ban is seen as part of a broader effort to curb nicotine addiction and protect public health in Ukraine.
The law also has banned vaping products known as vitamin vapes over their unproven health claims
while manufacturers and distributors of e-cigarettes and tobacco products are now subject to tougher reporting requirements.
