Ukrainian troops continue to “hold their designated positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, actively engaging and eliminating enemy forces” saidm Dmytro Lykhoviy, “Tavriya” Command spokesperson on Thursday.

He dismissed the earlier reports claiming Ukraine had to retreat from Krynyky as the situation is  “not as critical as some media and bloggers claim'”.

“Our key message is this: Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to carry out combat missions on the Left Bank of the Dnipro, including Krynyky. However, intense and prolonged enemy fire have left  most of our main positions in this village completely destroyed. The village itself has been turned into rubble, entirely demolished by enemy shelling,” added the spokesperson.

He argued that Ukrainian troops still hold their positions  on the “bridgeheads on the Left Bank of the Dnipro”, inflicting “significant losses”on the Russian army.
