14-year-old boy caught helping Ukrainian men with illegal border crossing

On Wednesday, Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service said it has detained four men who tried to illegally cross the border by the Tisza River. The men who were allegedly trying to dodge the military service had a 14- year old boy for a guide. July 24.

According to reports , each of the draft-dodgers known as ukhylyanty paid between $4,000 and $6,000 for the crossing, while the teenager was promised $1,000 for his role.

Ukrainian officials are currently working to identify the individuals behind the illegal border crossing scheme.
