Ukrainian special forces strike Russian positions on Tendrivska Spit

Ukrainian Special Forces ofthe Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) and the Naval Center executed a nighttime operation on Tendrivska Spit in the Black Sea on August 6.
According to Ukraine’s military intelligence, the raid saw an elite commando unit land at the Tendrivska Spit. The attack destroyed Russian armored vehicles, including an MT-LB and an enemy electronic warfare system.
The Russian units suffered casualties, though their exact number is still unclear.
By contast, the swift witdrawal helped Ukrainian troops return without any losses.
“This is not the first successful operation by GUR Special Forces on the Russian-occupied Tendrivska Spit. These actions are just part of a larger plan by Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces, which is currently underway,” said GUR in its statement.
Tendrivska Spit is a narrow island stretching about 65 km in length and up to 1.8 km wide, located in the northern part of the Black Sea close to Crimea.
