In a bid to boost pro-Russian sentiment, Russian-controlled officials staged Russian Flag Day celebrations in occupied Mariupol on Friday.  Held at Freedom Square, the event drew a sparce crowd that was entertained by several acts who made a song and dance about the “holy Rus.” as organizers waved Russian flags.

In its comments on the ‘celebrations’, Ukrainian Mariupol City Council revealed the event in fact was by the collaborationist administration officials and  youths from Russian military organization “Youth Army” as most Mariupol residents chose to avoid it showing their real attitude to the holiday.
