FSB agent detained in Odesa for coordinating Russian missile strikes

Ukraine’s Security Service said on Friday they have arrested an FSB agent suspected of coordinating Russian missile strikes on the city.

The individual, whose identity remains disclosed, was allegedly involved in spying on the sites of Russian attacks in Odesa. Ukraine’s intelligence revealed that the man passed the information to the FSB handlers  about the damaged caused by two missile strikes that targeted Odesa on March 15.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the agent arrived at the scene shortly after the attacks to assess the damage and promptly sent the detailed report on it to the FSB through his acquaintance who  helped Russian occupational troops in Mariupol and Bakhmut  involved in the occupation of Mariupol and Bakhmut.

The agent continued to spy and coordinate further attacks that targeted key mobile bases of defense units in Odesa

The SBU operatives documented the suspect’s espionage activities and detained him as he was going to send anothe scoop of gathered information.

The agent was also found to have been active on social media where he spread  false information about Ukrainian troops and justified Russian war crimes.

The search of the suspect’s home found mobile phones and laptops containing evidence of his criminal activities. Now the man is facing treason and espionage charges under art. 111, 161, and 432 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.
