A Russian airstrike took the lives of an entire family in Izmaylivka in Donetsk’s Pokrovsky district  on August 28, after a guided bomb hit a private residence.  It killed both parents, aged 45 and 53, along with their 17-year-old son and 24-year-old daughter.

Rescue workers found the family’s bodies buried beneath the rubble of their destroyed home. The Office of the Prosecutor General has released images of the aftermath, showing the devastation caused by the strike.

Preliminary reports suggest that the family’s house collapsed seconds after it was hit with a guided bomb.

Emergency Service workers and prosecutors are working on the site gathering crucial evidence to support the ongoing investigation into war crimes committed by Russian forces.
