Overnight attack: Russia targets railroad sites in Dnipro and Sumy

In the early hours of September 3, Russian forces launched a “massive” assault on Ukrainian Railways’ infrastructure, targeting its key facilities and rolling stock in Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

In Pokrovs, the enemy artillery fire also struck a home of a locomotive depot worker who was involved in evacuations of civilian from the area. The rail worker and his wife,  sustained injuries and were promptly hospitalized.

Ukrainian Railways said that no passenger services have been canceled, and trains continue to operate as scheduled.
