In a statement on Wednesday, Ukraine’s Air Force offered a sarcastic response to the news that MP Maryana Bezuhla is stepping down from her role as deputy chair of National Security and Defense Committee.

The statement read the Air Force was extending their “immense gratitude” to the lammaker for her “constructive criticism”, wishing her “success” in her possible future jobs.

Known for her scathing judgments of Ukraine’s military chiefs, Bezuhla announced her departure on Tuesday after facing pressure from her fellow lawmakers who wanted her removal from the defense committee.

This development comes after David Arakhamia, the leader of “Servant of the People” faction, proposed transferring Bezuhla from the defense committee to the foreign affairs committee.

It is worth noting that Bezuhla accused then-commander of the Air Force, Mykola Oleschuk, of allegedly covering up an F-16 crash that happened in late Augst amid a massive Russian missile strike.
