194 clashes reported in the past 24 hours – Ukraine’s General Staff

On September 17, Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 194 combat engagements along the frontlines. The enemy launched missile strikes, delivering four missiles, and carried out 72 airstrikes, dropping 120 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, Russian forces carried out 4,800 shelling attacks, 154 of which involved multiple launch rocket systems.

In response, Ukrainian Air Force, missile units, and artillery hit five areas of the enemy personnel and equipment concentration, striking a multiple launch rocket system, three command posts, and an ammunition depot.

  • Kharkiv Sector: A combat engagement occurred near Vovchansk. Thirteen enemy attacks were reported in the Kupiansk sector, where the enemy got air support. Ukrainian forces repelled assaults near Synkivka, Novoosynove, Krugliakivka, Andriivka, Kolisnykivka, Petropavlivka, and Lozova.
  • Lyman Sector: The enemy attempted 14 advances near Cherneshchyna, Druzelubyivka, Makiivka, Torske, and Nevske.
  • Siversk Sector: Ukrainian defenders thwarted two assaults near Verkhniokamianske and Vyimka.
  • Kramatorsk Sector: Ten attacks were repelled near Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Klishchiivka, and Bila Hora. The situation remains under control.
  • Toretsk Sector: Backed by aviation, Russian troops launched 15 attacks near Shcherbynivka, Toretsk, Dachne, and Nelipivka.
  • Pokrovsk Sector: Ukrainian defenders repelled 51 enemy assaults near Hrodivka, Novotoretske, Novohrodivka, Mykolaivka, Oleksandropol, Vozdvyzhenka, Marynivka, and Zelenyi Hai. The fiercest battles occurred near Hrodivka and Novohrodivka.
  • Kurakhiv Sector: 49 enemy attacks were thwarted near Tsukuryne, Zhelanne Pershe, Hirnyk, Katerynivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka. Russian forces heavily used airstrikes and bombers.
  • Vremivka Sector: Six attacks were recorded near Vuhledar and Novoukrainka.
  • Huliaipole Sector: The enemy’s two offensives near Huliaipole were unsuccessful.
  • Orikhiv Sector: Eight clashes occurred near Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, and Shcherbaky, with no success for the invaders.
  • Dnipro Sector: Four attempts by the enemy to capture Ukrainian positions failed.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive group formations were observed.

Along the Chernihiv and Sumy sectors, Russian forces continue shelling Ukrainian communities using artillery and airstrikes from within Russian territory.

Ukrainian forces are inflicting significant losses on the occupiers in both manpower and equipment.
