Three Russian troops have been killed after a car bomb exploded in their car in occupied Melitopol in an alleged attack by the members of Ukrainian resistance movement, said Ukraine’s military intelligence in its statement on Tuesday.

The explosion occurred near the Auto Tractor Spare Parts Factory on the Defenders of Ukraine Day, targeting a VAZ 2110, commonly known as  Soviet-make Lada 10. The soldiers whose cars was blown up were known for the intimidation campaign against the town residents.

Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) claimed it helped coordinate the attack of the resistance fighters who set up  a mine trap near the car.
