Recruited by Russian intelligence, the family had their espionage and sabotage tasks divided equally – the wife gathered intelligence on the locations of Ukrainian air defense units, including anti-aircraft missile systems and radar stations marking their coordinates on maps, while her husband passed it on to their Russian handlers and acted as a saboteur. He was found to have set fire to a relay cabinet on a key railway line.

The couple allegedly started to work for Russian intelligence in June 2024.

Now both of them are facing treason and espionage charges -it can get them a possible sentence of 8 years in prison.
