Emergency power outages implemented in 3 Ukrainian regions after drone attacks

On October 3,  energy operators will cut power in Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava regions after after Wednesday drone attacks on energy infrastructure.

In Sumy and its suburbs, customers faced emergency power outages. Energy teams are working to resolve the situation, which was triggered by Russian military attacks.

Thousands in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv district were also left without power.

Meanwhile, Ukrenergo has ordered emergency power cuts in Poltava, including the Myrhorod and Poltava districts, with an estimated reduction of 50 MW.

According to Ukrenergo, Russian drones targeted energy facilities across several regions overnight. The attacks damaged equipment, leaving many without power. Where conditions are safe, crews are already conducting emergency repairs.
