120 combat engagements since the start of the day – Ukraine’s General Staff

The frontlines have seen at least 120 combat engagements as of 4 pm on Thursday as Russian troops are intensifying their onslaught in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove sectors.

Russian forces continue to use artillery and aviation against the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

Four airstrikes have been reported in Russia’s Kursk region, where the enemy dropped ten guided bombs.

In the Kharkiv sector, there have been three combat clashes today. Ukrainian forces repelled attacks near Vovchansk and Starytsia while the enemy launched two airstrikes in the Pysarivka and Staryi Saltiv areas, dropping four KABs.

Ukrainian soldiers repelled nine enemy assault attempts near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova, and Nadiya in the Kupiansk sector. Three more clashes are ongoing near Dzherele and Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy is attacking near Hrekivka, Druzhelyubivka, Katerynivka, Novomykhailivka, Novosadove, Nevske, Torske, Serebryanka, and Bilohorivka. Sixteen combat engagements have been reported in this sector since the beginning of the day, six of which are still ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, the enemy is actively using aviation, targeting Siversk and Zvanivka with guided bombs.

Fighting continues in the areas of Hryhorivka, Minkivka, Chasiv Yar, and Ivanivske in the Kramatorsk sector, where the enemy is attempting to advance on Ukrainian positions.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy has launched six attacks on Ukrainian positions. Fighting is currently ongoing near Toretsk, Nelipivka, and Shcherbanivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, heavy fighting continues near the communities of Sukha Balka, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Lysivka, and Selidove. The enemy has launched 23 assaults on Ukrainian positions in this area.

The fiercest fighting is unfolding  in the Kurakhove sector, where ten engagements are taking place near Izmailivka, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Antonivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vodiane. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 22 enemy assaults in the areas of Zoryane, Hostre, Heorhiivka, and Katerynivka.

In the Vremivka sector, five enemy assaults near Bohoyavlenka have been repelled, with one more ongoing.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy is using aviation near Novodanilivka.

In the Prydniprovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack.
