Ukraine’s General Staff names two frontline hotspots

At least 73 combat engagements have been reported along the frontlines as of 4 pm on Tuesday with 60% of those taking place at Pokrovsk and Kurakhove, according to Ukraine’s General Staff.

Russian artillery continues to target the border regions of Sumy and Chernihiv, as well as their own Kursk region where they launched seven airstrikes over the day.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy launched four assaults on Ukrainian positions near Starytsia and Vovchansk, with three ongoing engagements. The situation remains under control.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions six times. Ukrainian defenders repelled assaults near Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, and Lozova, with the battles still ongoing.

On the Lyman front, Russian units attacked the areas of Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Terny, and Torske. Since the morning, Ukrainian forces have repelled seven enemy attacks, with one battle still in progress.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces launched assault operations near Vasiukivka and fired unguided air rockets at Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk area, the aggressor’s aviation struck the village of Druzhba with unguided rockets, and three guided bombs were dropped near Petrivka.

The most intense fighting continues in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy has made 26 attempts to advance  near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, and Selydove. Nearly half of these clashes occurred around Selydove. Ukrainian forces have repelled 16 enemy attacks, and Russian forces also dropped five guided bombs near Myrnohrad.

In the Kurakhove direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 15 times, attempting advances near Hirnyk, Novodmytrivka, Hostre, Katerynivka, and Antonivka. The battles are ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, the enemy continues its efforts to push towards Bohoyavlenka from Vuhledar and Vodiane.

In the Orikhiv sector, enemy aviation struck Mala Tokmachka with guided bombs.

Meanwhile, in the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy carried out two attacks on Ukrainian positions, with fighting continuing in the area.
