Ukrainian businesses will not have to pay new high taxes retrospectively in October. It is what many have feared after the goverment unveiled a tax hike earlier this month, according to Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
After the Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk signed bill No. 11416-d to increase taxes on Thursday, the controversial tax hike will need to be either signed or vetoed by the Ukrainian president. It means he can be able to do it only in November.
On October 11, the Verkhovna Rada passed the tax reform in the second reading, introducing significant changes to taxation under martial law.
