During a recent visit to the Sumy region, former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko handed over equipment worth about $1 million to Special Operations Forces units. The supplies include a variety of tactical gear essential for Ukraine’s continued resilience on the frontlines.
Among the equipment donated were a mobile laundry and shower unit, a portable auto-repair workshop, 400 FPV drones, five “Mavic” drones, six “Shatro” electronic warfare systems, ten charging stations, thirty “Starlink” systems, generators, diesel heaters, and “Vanilniy Tsukorok” drone detectors.
Poroshenko praised special operation troops who often have to operate behind enemy lines in high-risk missions.
In addition to the high-tech drones and communications systems, they got Starlink terminals that can be set up on vehicles, ensuring secure and stable communication for the Ukrainian troops in all conditions.
Overall, 18 brigades benefited from this equipment boost, which Poroshenko and his team hope will help enhance operational effectiveness on the ground.
