No plans for lowering of conscription age – Zelensky

Ukraine has no plans to lower the conscription age, said the country’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy as he unveiled his  10-point ‘plan of fortitude’ in the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday.

One of the key points of his plan addresses new approaches to military management that will include the introduciton of a Military Ombudsman and a Technology Headquarters.  Zelensky also revealed that the military’s contract system is in for an overhaul, stressing that the country” is not planning to lower the mobilization age”.

Zelensky’s detailed plan is set to be made public in December.
