During the meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Ukraine’s deputy defense minister called on Turkey to cooperate in de-mining the territory of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian official noted that Ukraine is counting on Turkey’s help in de-mining territories contaminated by explosive objects because of the aggression of the Russian Federation.

The deputy minister added that 174,000 square kilometers of Ukraine’s territory are potentionally dangerous because of the mines and other explosive devices.

The ambassador of Turkey, on behalf of the Turkish government, expressed gratitude for the rescue mission sent by Ukraine to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake that occurred in February this year, and emphasized that Turkey will always stand by the principles of respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

‘Our warm connection with the Ukrainian people is unbreakable, and it was established long before the war. We express unquestionable respect for your territorial integrity and sovereignty. We will continue to work on these principles,’ the ambassador stated.
