Defense Minister Umerov and General Zaluzhnyi visit frontline

Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces General Valerii Zaluzhnyi visited the frontline in the east of Ukraine.

They discussed the situation on the front with Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi.

They also discussed the key needs of the Ukrainian forces in the area.

Rustem Umerov noted that in addition to frontline support and the key needs of the army, during the trip they discussed the issue of training recruits and strengthening fortifications. The Ministry of Defense and the General Staff are developing a joint action plan considering potential threats.

‘We are working on strengthening the supply of weapons to the front, launching production, expanding the possibilities of procurement of UAVs (both reconnaissance and attack), and are in daily contact with partners,’ Umerov stated.
