Prime minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported that 15 million tons of export goods, mostly food, passed through the Ukrainian sea corridor in five months.

He emphasized that the security of logistics, trade and investments is critically important in the economy. Thus, since 2023, thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian maritime trade corridor has been functioning.

‘During 5 months, 15 million tons of export goods, mostly food, passed through this corridor. The Danube port cluster is also successfully operating. Thanks to this, we increased sea exports by 30% in December compared to November,’ the PM stated.

In particular, Denys Shmyhal emphasized that the key to success is also the insurance of ships against military risks. Ukraine launched this project together with leading British insurers.
