Due to the colder weather, the consumption of electricity in Ukraine is growing. The deficit in the grid has reached 5%.

As of today’s morning, the consumption is 4% higher than the corresponding figure on Tuesday, January 16.

The emergence of a shortage of electricity in the power system means that when electricity consumption increases rapidly, it is difficult for power plants to increase their production as quickly.

Therefore, the company calls on the population to reduce the use of electricity in the peak hours.

Ukraine continues import of electricity from Slovakia, Romania, and Moldova.
